Robert Barnes	a calico printer born about 1804 in New Accrington, Lancashire; married Ellen Seed, daughter of Hugh Seed of Old Accrington
Hugh Barnes	born Accrington, Lancashire, about 1832; married Sarah Slater,  a  weaver of Clitheroe, in Accrington in 1856. In about 1859,  they migrated to Victoria, Australia
John Edwin Barnes	b. 9 Aug 1859 at Golden Gully, Bendigo, Victoria. He married  Clara May Dettmer Jackson in Melbourne, about 1889.  These were my great-grandparents.
Myrtle Mary Barnes	b. Melbourne 5 Nov 1890; died 1970. She married     1. Harry Victor Hanger (my grandfather), Victoria, 2 June 1909    2. Hal Piper    3. Jack Hattersley
